NFTA Holds Donation Drive to Support TSA Employees
Buffalo, NY — On Tuesday, March 24, the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) hosted a community donation drive at Buffalo Niagara International Airport to recognize and support the dedicated employees of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). These frontline professionals work tirelessly each day to ensure the safety and security of passengers traveling through both Buffalo Niagara International Airport and Niagara Falls International Airport.
The event drew an outpouring of support from the Western New York community, with members of the public donating gift cards valued at $20 or less. In total, the drive raised more than $22,000. These contributions will be distributed directly to TSA employees as a token of appreciation for their continued service and commitment to the traveling public.
The initiative also comes at a time when many federal employees face financial uncertainty, and the donated gift cards are intended to help ease some of those burdens. By coming together in support of TSA staff, the community demonstrated its deep appreciation for the essential role these individuals play in maintaining safe, secure, and efficient airport operations.
The NFTA extends its sincere thanks to all who participated in the donation drive and helped make the event a success. Their generosity highlights the strength and compassion of Buffalo and underscores a shared commitment to supporting those who serve on the front lines of transportation security
