Buffalo Airport Fire Department Actively Recruiting

BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Buffalo International Airport Fire Department is actively recruiting qualified candidates to join its Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting team at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.  Airport firefighters play a critical role in ensuring the safety of the traveling public, airport employees, and aircraft operations.

In addition to responding to aircraft emergencies, ARFF firefighters are highly trained professionals who provide fire suppression, emergency medical service, rescue operations, and standby aircraft protection.

“We are looking for dedicated professionals who are ready to serve at Western New York’s most important transportation gateways,” says Fire Chief Bill Major. “Our airport firefighters are highly skilled, highly trained, and essential to maintaining the safety and security of millions of passengers each year.”

The application deadline is March 27, the written test is being held on April 18, and the agility test is on May 16. All the details on the many outstanding benefits can be found on our website at https://www.nfta.com/careers/fire
